Job summary

Eurofins EAG Laboratories in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Scientist specializing in Thermal Analysis and Materials Characterization. You will perform hands-on characterization, interpret analytical data, and work directly with clients on technical investigations across polymers and materials.

The role requires experience with DMA/TMA/rheometry, DSC/TGA is a plus, and strong communication to explain results and implications for materials and product development.

Qualifications

MS/PhD in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial or laboratory experience, with hands-on DMA, TMA and/or rheometry.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on materials characterization and interpret high-quality analytical data.
Write technical reports and discuss results with clients.
Plan analyses, prepare samples, set up instrumentation and acquire data.
Evaluate thermal transitions, mechanical response, and rheological behavior.
Communicate technical findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
