Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR AED or BLS certification required.
• Preferred: 1 year therapy technician experience in hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of laws, policies and standards affecting decisions and interpretations.
• Develops rapport with patients and families to maximize participation in activities.
• Transfers, transports, and positions patients.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Sets up and/or removes equipment or therapy aides; performs routine and preventative maintenance; reports defective equipment.
• Organizes patient treatment time and unscheduled time efficiently.
• Assists in on-the-job training of Therapy Technicians, volunteers, and nursing staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
