Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Therapy Technician to support licensed rehabilitation therapists in an inpatient setting. You will assist with patient care and help maintain a safe, organized therapy environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma and CPR AED or BLS certification; hospital or outpatient rehab experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: CPR AED or BLS approved by AHA/ARC.
• Preferred: 1 year therapy technician experience in hospital or outpatient rehab.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws, policies and regulations affecting decisions and interpretations.
• Develops rapport with patients and families to maximize participation in activities.
• Transfers, transports, and positions patients.
• Follows written and verbal instructions.
• Sets up and removes equipment; performs routine maintenance and reports defects.
• Communicates patient observations to the therapist.
• Organizes patient treatment time and unscheduled time efficiently.
• Assists in on‑the‑job training and supervision of staff/volunteers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
