Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I (PRN) to support therapists, set up equipment, and maintain a safe, patient-centered environment. You will collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver high-quality care and help patients progress in their rehabilitation journey.

The role emphasizes assisting with daily activities, ensuring patient safety, and clear communication with families. A strong support mindset and readiness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder RehabTech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
