Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with therapists and nurses to ensure quality patient outcomes.

The role offers opportunities for growth within a nationally recognized inpatient rehabilitation leader, with a focus on compassionate care and teamwork across our nationwide locations.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
