Job summary

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center is seeking an experienced Skilled & Acute Therapy Team Lead/Coordinator to oversee inpatient rehabilitation services across hospital and skilled nursing settings. You will lead Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy teams, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes working as a hands-on leader, coordinating schedules, budgets, and quality measures while fostering a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathology program.
• Current Michigan license, or eligible for Michigan licensure.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well with patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of the therapy team.
• Help oversee daily operations of skilled and acute therapy services.
• Support Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy staff.
• Assist with staff training, mentoring, and professional development.
• Help manage department schedules, staffing, and workflow.
• Monitor quality measures and patient satisfaction goals.
• Support compliance with healthcare regulations and department policies.
• Assist with budgeting, supplies, and department resources.
• Help onboard and train new team members.
• Participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates.
• Work with leadership to improve services and patient outcomes.
