Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for a 13-week night shift assignment in a busy post-anesthesia/outpatient surgical unit. Night hours, 12-hour shifts, three nights per week, with every third weekend.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, critical care procedures, and COPD/pneumonia patient care on a single-floor unit; experience with Puritan Bennett 840 and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 preferred.

Qualifications

• National certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Valid state respiratory therapy license required.
• Experience preferred: minimum 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Three night shifts per week from 19:15 to 06:45 with every third weekend.
• Two day shifts and one night shift scheduled weekly.
• Covers outpatient surgery service and potential high ED volumes.
• Care for COPD and pneumonia patients on a single-floor unit.
• Work with Puritan Bennett 840 and Nihon Kohden ventilators; maintain competency.

Description:This position is for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT).The schedule consists of three night shifts per week from 19:15 to 06:45, with every third weekend required.Two day shifts and one night shift will be scheduled each week.Night shift work may be required if a team member on that shift requests time off.The department handles a busy outpatient surgery service during the week and may experience high volumes in the emergency department.Candidates should be prepared to work in a unit that primarily treats patients with COPD and pneumonia.All patient beds are located on a single floor, with a small intensive care unit on the same level.The facility uses Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 ventilators.Experience working with these or similar ventilators is preferred.Candidates should possess strong skills in adult critical care and respiratory therapy procedures.A fit test for mask competency must be completed prior to starting the position.Candidates are responsible for scheduling this test and may need to travel for it.Completion of required modules and documentation is necessary before beginning the assignment.
