Description:The hiring process involves a profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager.Clinicians should be in the state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote.The department treats primarily adults, with pediatrics and neonates stabilized in the emergency department.Key job duties include performing ABG draws, EKGs, and managing ventilators, trach patients, BiPap, and high flow nasal cannula.Respiratory Therapists will assist with intubation as necessary.A respiratory manager and charge therapists are available for support.Shifts are scheduled for 9 weeks, with weekend and holiday coverage required.There is no on-call or standby call requirement.Respiratory Therapists will not float outside of their designated zone unless required.The hospital is a trauma level care setting with a collaborative approach involving hospitalists or intensivists on-site.Specific training will include procedures related to ABGs, EKGs, and the electronic health record system.The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
