Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment in Worcester, MA. The role supports the physical therapy plan under supervision, delivering rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions.

The candidate must have an active PTA license and LTC or rehab experience. Applicants should have 1+ year PTA experience (or a new graduate with Level II).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Administers rehabilitation procedures as part of the plan including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments in the clinical record.
• Documents all required information in the electronic system and maintains patient records.
• Participates in meetings and training as required and coordinates with the care team.

Description:Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.Provides input to supervisors for discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy.Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.Participates in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.Participates in facility and company required training, in-services, and conferences.Works with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.Adheres to practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.Maintains active state licensure when applicable.
