Job summary

HealthPRO Heritage in Freeport, IL seeks a Part-Time Therapy Program Manager with PTA licensure to lead therapy services in an assisted living community. You will supervise staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive program growth while managing schedules and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy and/or PT/OT Assisting.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as PT/OT/SLP and/or PTA/COTA, or license eligible.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or related healthcare field.
• Supervisory or management experience in healthcare setting preferred, rehab therapy ideal.
• Leadership & Team Management: ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical Knowledge: understanding of rehabilitation principles and patient care protocols.
• Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: effective decision-making and critical thinking.
• Organizational Skills: manage schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Compliance Knowledge: HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and supervise therapy staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
• Monitor credentials and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure high-quality therapy services with regulatory compliance.
• Conduct reviews of therapy programs to assess effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop strategies to expand therapy programs and initiatives like fitness or dementia programs.
• Lead marketing efforts with hospitals, physicians, and community partners.
• Oversee scheduling of patients and therapists for adequate coverage.
• Track and report assessment period data with proper documentation and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve patient or staff issues and provide ongoing education.
