Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a skilled occupational therapist for an outpatient therapy role in a hospital-based setting. The assignment spans 13 weeks with day shifts (08:30–17:00) and requires at least 1 year of experience, a valid state license, and BLS certification.

Candidates should have acute care outpatient experience, and familiarity with neuro, orthopedic, and pediatric cases is ideal. Flexibility for weekend coverage and occasional facility float is expected.

Responsibilities

• Comfortable working in a hospital-based outpatient setting is preferred.
• Expected to provide therapy focusing on activities of daily living.
• Must demonstrate competency in adaptive equipment assessment and use.
• Experience in hand clinic, including hand injury rehabilitation, is beneficial.
• Knowledge of assessing and treating arthritis and soft tissue injuries is required.
• Candidates should be proficient in creating and implementing home exercise programs.
• Must be capable of performing wheelchair evaluations and positioning assessments.
• Understanding of cognitive assessments and discharge planning is essential.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be needed to ensure comprehensive care.
• Providing patient and family education will be a key component of the role.
• Candidates may be expected to float between facilities as needed.
• A commitment to working three of five holidays is necessary.
