Description:Position available for an Occupational Therapist in a busy healthcare setting.The unit has 100 beds and a dedicated staff of 15 therapists.The team typically includes 1-2 physical therapists, 1-2 occupational therapists, and 1 speech-language pathologist on day shifts.During night shifts, there are no staffing requirements.Candidates should be flexible and willing to learn.Experience in ICU and with post-operative orthopedic patients is preferred.Common procedures performed in the unit include joint replacements, general surgery, GI surgery, incisions and drainages, and bariatric surgery.The work environment requires team-oriented individuals who can multitask.Lift equipment and walkers are commonly used in the facility.The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech.Floating to a neighboring facility may occur if census is low.No call requirements are associated with this position.Hunter Green scrubs are the standard uniform for staff.
