Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of post-residency experience completed.
Background with photons/HDR/LDR/eclipse planning software/SRS.
Experience with adult cancer patients.
Responsibilities
Deliver radiation to cancer patients.
Shadow another medical physicist during orientation.
Calibrate therapy machines and conduct QA as needed.
Skills
Performs QA on equipment as required
Performs delivery of non-standard, standard, and complicated treatment planning
Performs radiation surveys of treatment rooms
Calibrates various therapy machines
Measures instruments against national standards
Familiar with guided radiation therapy
Strong communication with the interdisciplinary team
Education
CMP (Certified Medical Physicist - Therapy) through ABR
Preferred: BLS, ACLS
