Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics and ABR board certification or CAMPEP residency eligibility, with 2+ years of clinical experience. Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics required or equivalent training.
• ABR Therapeutic Medical Physics board certification or CAMPEP residency eligibility.
• 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interpret regulations.
• Willingness to go beyond for clients and colleagues; shows initiative and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly/monthly radiation measurements and annual calibration on all treatment units.

The Role

We are searching for a highly skilled, compassionate Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. Our candidates must be well-trained in Radiation Oncology and be able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Clinic Information

• This position is located in Pennsylvania

What You’ll Do

• Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
• Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
• Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
• Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
• Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
• Perform additional duties, as needed.

What You’ll Need

• Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
• A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
• 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations.
• A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
• Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
• Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.

Physical Requirements

• Requires ability to use and move equipment.
• Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying.
• Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting.
• Occasional evening or weekend work.
