Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly/monthly radiation measurements and yearly calibration.
  • Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze treatment plans and supervise dosimetry functions.
  • Implement assessment/treatment based on patient stages.
  • Perform additional duties, as needed

Clinic Information
  • This position is based in Memphis, TN
  • This clinic is equipped with HDR/LDR Program, Brachy Program
  • This facility uses Monaco Treatment planning systems.
  • This clinic has an incredibly welcoming team consisting of 2 FTE Doctors, 2 .5 FTE Doctors, and 3 Dosimetrists
What You’ll Do
  • Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
  • Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
  • Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
  • Perform additional duties, as needed

What You’ll Need
  • Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
