Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a Therapy Front Desk Coordinator in Atlanta, GA to manage daily front desk operations for the Physical Therapy department. You will greet patients, verify appointments, assist with portal registrations, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

This non-exempt role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a high-volume environment required.
• Minimum of two years of front desk coordinator experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans, coverage, and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks patients in by verifying appointments, scheduling, demographics, insurance, referrals, and workers’ compensation eligibility, and updates patient information in the computer system as needed.
• Assists patients with patient portal registration, return appointments, directions, ambulatory needs, and general front desk inquiries.
• Answers and routes incoming phone calls, screens and distributes mail, logs and distributes packages, and assist clinical and administrative staff with daily tasks.
• Collect patient payments and fees, maintain daily collection records, reconcile daily receivables, copies checks, scans collection sheets for billing, and files daily paperwork electronically.
• Maintains confidentiality and builds collaborative working relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members.
• Maintains waiting rooms, office supplies, assigned work areas, and overall facility readiness, reporting and following up on facility-related concerns with the Lead or Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Therapy Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for the daily administrative tasks of the front desk for all POC clinics. Organization, attention to detail, prioritizing problem-solving, and multitasking are necessary to ensure a high level of customer service. Customers include patients, physicians, vendors, clients, and POC staff.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position regularly requires sitting, handling objects, talking, and hearing.
