Barron Swim School in Ballwin, MO (and O'Fallon, MO) is seeking a Swim Abilities Teacher to bring our specialized program to life, helping children with autism, anxiety, motor challenges, sensory issues, or developmental delays feel safe and empowered in the water.

You will teach private lessons, adapt methods to each child, collaborate with the team, and contribute to a fast-paced, supportive environment that emphasizes safety, growth, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs and a commitment to their growth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and families.
• Experience in swim instruction, special education, or therapy-based roles is a plus.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse needs and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety, creating a secure and nurturing environment for every student
• Deliver private swim lessons with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm, adapting to each child's unique needs
• Follow tailored lesson plans to progress toward group lessons when appropriate
• Engage with students using sensory, visual, and physical stimulation to foster confidence
• Collaborate with monitors and team members to refine teaching approach and grow your expertise
