Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Clinic Assistant (Therapy/ Rehabilitation Technician) to support daily operations through clerical work and patient care. You will assist with medical records, greet and escort patients, and help set up for evaluations and treatments in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under the supervision of therapists, you will help with prescribed exercises, transfers, ambulation and equipment setup, while maintaining clean treatment rooms and stock.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days required.
• Additional certifications may vary by department.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and escort as needed.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist therapists with evaluations and treatments.
• Perform administrative tasks and schedule for the next day.
• Maintain supplies and ensure equipment is clean and in good condition.
• Assist with patient care under supervision and ensure safety.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries.
