Job summary

Outcome HC in New Jersey seeks a Licensed Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in treating patients within the Rehab department. You will help implement treatment plans, document progress, and assist with daily care activities in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited assistant program and successful licensure, with a focus on delivering quality, compliant care and efficient documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program (PTA/OTA track).
• Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by licensed therapist.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and team-building approach with patients, clients and team members.
• Maintain productivity standard as directed by supervisor and clinical needs.
• Record clinical documentation according to regulatory and professional guidelines.
• Record daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines.
• Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs as directed by staff therapist.
• Coordinate with other departments and Rehab staff to support patient progress.
• Screen patients based on identified need per State Practice Act.
