Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support an Occupational Therapist in evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment programs for residents in New Jersey.

The OTA will document progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the health care team to promote independence and functional skills. Responsibilities include planning and delivering therapy activities, observing outcomes, maintaining records, and assisting in care plan

Qualifications

• Associate degree or OTA certificate required.
• Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Ability to write professional reports and correspondence.
• Ability to use computer software proficiently.
• Current BLS certification (AED).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor OT treatment programs with supervising therapist.
• Observe and record patient progress and update client records.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and adaptive equipment use.
• Collaborate with care team on patient care plans.
• Assist in care plan meetings and progress reviews.
• Perform clerical duties such as scheduling and data collection.
• Maintain and organize equipment and materials for therapy.
• Modify treatment plans to improve outcomes.
