Job summary

Island Health is seeking a part-time Physical/Occupational Therapy Aide to support the POST department across outpatient services. The role focuses on preparing patients and equipment, keeping the outpatient area clean and well-stocked, and performing routine clerical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting therapists with treatments under supervision, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to accurate documentation for DME products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a clinical or similar setting preferred.
• Prior outpatient rehab or acute care experience is strongly preferred.
• Active BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in outpatient/adjunct roles under direct supervision.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and assist with modalities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the POST outpatient area.
• Perform clerical tasks and light reception duties as needed.
• Assist in documenting patient information for DME when applicable.
• Communicate with patients and families to support care plans.
