Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Therapy Access Manager to oversee access programs across KS, ND, SD, NE, MO, and CO. You will educate offices on access services and reimbursement solutions, and drive territory plans with HUBs, market access, and field partners.

The role requires deep knowledge of reimbursement processes for specialty products, as well as experience educating providers on patient services. Travel >50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s + 8+ years OR Master’s + 6+ years OR PhD/PharmD + 2+ years relevant experience.
• 1+ year experience in Market Access and/or Field Reimbursement for specialty products.
• Experience with specialty/biologic products and complex reimbursement.
• Experience educating HCPs on patient service programs (e.g., copay, nurse education, patient assistance).
• Ability to travel >50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined accounts in assigned territory to support access for providers and patients; educate offices on access services and reimbursement solutions.
• Execute territory strategic plan with internal/external stakeholders (e.g., HUB/call center, market access, matrix field partners); serve as payer expert and communicate payer changes.
• Ensure understanding of reimbursement process, specialty pharmacies, field reimbursement services, and UT patient support program; advise on patient-level reimbursement issues in compliance with Rules of Engagement.
• Manage daily activities supporting appropriate patient access; liaison to patient assistance/access support services.
• Provide compliant customer support and in-person office visits.
• Participate in cross-matrix meetings and team calls; enter activity into CRM.
• Provide office education throughout the access process (e.g., formulary/UM criteria, insurance forms, benefits investigation, prior auth, appeals, claims resolution).
• Educate physician office staff on patient support services using UT-approved materials and tools/portals.

• Ability to manage ambiguity/problem solve; solution-oriented, strong business acumen, analytic skills.
• Ability to travel >50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s/PhD/PharmD; cardiology or pulmonology experience; rare/orphan drug experience.
• Demonstrated ability to educate on access and issue resolution.
• Experience presenting in person/virtually (Zoom/Webex/Teams).
• Advanced insurance terminology; CMS policy/process knowledge (Medicare Part B & Part D).

Compensation/Benefits:

• Salary range: $150,000-$185,000.
