Job summary

Centerstone in Georgia is seeking a licensed mental health professional to join the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic as a Therapist. You will provide evidence-based therapy to veterans and their families, focusing on short-term treatment and validated practices.

You will conduct screenings, intake assessments, and individual/couples/family therapy, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A Master’s in social work and licensure eligibility are required, with a salary aligned to GS-12.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work required and ability to obtain license to independently practice.
• Three years’ clinical experience in behavioral healthcare required.
• Experience with adults, children, couples, and families.
• Knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses required.
• Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
• Certification or proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, CPT, or PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services including treatment for Veterans and their families.
• Performs and documents patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress/referral information.
• Conducts clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
• Provides individual, couples, and family psychotherapy with focus on evidence-based treatments.

Cohen Military Family Clinic offers a variety of services to post 9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard and their family members. Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic has a commitment to training, consultation and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. Therapist will deliver short-term treatment, 8-12 sessions. Therapists at this location have manageable caseloads, well designed work schedule and consistent clinical support. Salary is commensurate with a General Schedule (GS) 12 for this region. The Therapist will support the Centerstone Mission, Vision and Values in delivering care that changes people’s lives.
