Job summary

Centerstone in Florida seeks a licensed therapist to provide individual, family, and group counseling in community-based settings such as client homes, hospitals, schools, or offices.

You will conduct assessments, develop and update treatment plans, and document progress in the EMR. Collaborate with partners, provide crisis intervention, and link clients to additional services as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health field required.
• Four years' professional experience in mental health/substance use setting preferred.
• Licensure: LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT-MHSP or Licensed Psychologist/School Psychologist.
• Valid FL driver's license required.

Provide written documentation about clients’ progress as well as communicate collaboratively with team and community partners. This role will work with community partners and local stakeholders to provide comprehensive care in the community. As a part of the community based team, the Therapist will meet with individuals in their own environment such as in the client’s home, hospital, the office, schools/work, etc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the department.Provide crisis intervention services in the community.Responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and updating treatment plans with input from the client and family.Conduct clinical behavioral health assessments.Enters written documentation into Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner for all services rendered.Provide supportive and educational counseling services (individual, family and group) to develop daily living and coping skills.Assist clients with developing natural support systems. Refer, advocate, and link clients and families to additional services as needed.Complete all required agency trainings to maintain 100% compliance. Maintains departmental productivity expectations. Additional training and/or certification may be required based on specific program guidelines.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESEffectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.Ability to develop supportive relationships with persons with legal, mental health, substance use, and co-occurring issues while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.Possess knowledge of mental illness and recovery including the ability to collaborate with community partners.Knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly.Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use concerns. Enthusiastic about influencing positive change in our clients’ lives.Understanding of populations affected by mental illness, proven skills in networking among diverse agencies, and strong planning and personnel management abilities.QUALIFICATIONSEducation LevelMaster's degree required. Four years' professional experience in a substance abuse or mental health setting and a bachelor's degree may be accepted in lieu of a master's degree.Years of ExperienceMust have experience with mental health and/or co-occurring issues.Certification/LicensureMust have LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT-MHSP license or be a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed School Psychologist.
