The Staff Speech Pathologist organizes and coordinates speech pathology treatment programs. He/she participates in direct patient evaluation and treatment to facilitate and/or restore speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions and collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Education, Experience, Training

• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
• Valid California Speech Pathology License (or eligible).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligible.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• FEES Certification.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow.
• Ability to evaluate and develop treatment plans for speech and swallow patients in acute, rehab, and outpatient settings, including Modified Barium Swallow evaluations, cognitive training, and swallow training.
