Pay is commensurate with experience beginning at $65,000 annually.Full time, exempt, benefits eligible. School and Office Based Child and Family Therapist

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Child and Family Therapist to provide high-quality mental health services across both school environments and our clinical outpatient services office. This hybrid, full-time (40 hours/week) role offers the unique opportunity to support children and adolescents in their natural learning environment while also offering structured therapeutic services in an office setting. The ideal candidate is flexible, trauma-informed, and passionate about supporting youth, families, and school communities.

Key Responsibilities

School-Based Responsibilities (On-Site)

• Evidence based direct services, including crisis intervention, therapeutic interventions, assessment, support services, intakes, and follow up to at-risk children and adolescents and their families.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and support staff.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings, IEP/504 meetings and multidisciplinary consultations.
• Offer crisis intervention and safety assessments when needed.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Regular attendance and participation in their school(s)' mental health team meetings.
• Coordinating intervention strategies with school personnel and other team members as appropriate.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Office-Based Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy sessions as clinically appropriate.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches (CBT, DBT-skills, play therapy, trauma-informed modalities, etc.).
• Coordinate care with pediatricians, psychiatrists, and community partners.
• Attend weekly clinical supervision and team meetings.

Combined Responsibilities

• Completing clinical assessments to determine eligibility for the SED Waiver.
• Conduct intakes, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing psychotherapy with children and adolescents.
• Assuming additional responsibilities as circumstances warrant.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and state requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Current state license or license-eligible (LCSW, LPC, LMSW, LCPC, LMLP, LCP, Psy.D., Ph.D.).
• Experience working with children and adolescents in clinical or school settings.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Basic computer fluency.
• Flexibility in assigned working hours.
• A commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches.
• An energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work-place.

Preferred

• Prior school-based mental health or school counseling experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations and culturally responsive practice.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).

Work Schedule & Conditions

• Hybrid schedule with set hours at partnered schools and office-based hours.
• Travel between school sites and office required.
• Occasional evening availability for office-based sessions is required.
