Job summary

Sycamore Springs is a 48-bed hospital located in Lafayette, IN, and part of Lifepoint Health, committed to making communities healthier. We are seeking an Inpatient Therapist to provide individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and engage families and support networks as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires a master's degree in social work or counseling with an active state license, CPR and CPI certification within 30 days, and flexibility in scheduling to

• Master's degree in social work or counseling or equivalent state licensure.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• Current unencumbered Clinical or Social Work license per state.
• CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
• May be required to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Displays active involvement in treatment planning process.
• Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
• Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a master's degree in social work or counseling, or relevant state licensure required. Additional requirements include:
