Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health Lakepointe Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas is seeking a Full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist – Day Shift to evaluate, plan, and implement patient treatments and support discharge planning.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas PT license, have strong communication skills, document care accurately, supervise staff and students, and pursue ongoing professional development in evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of work experience.
• Texas PT license required.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.

• Shift: Full‑time Outpatient Physical Therapist – Day Shift (8 hours daily)
• Experience: Experienced Preferred
• Must possess a current Physical Therapist license issued by the State of Texas.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients; modifies therapy programs and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner; enters charges accurately and understands reimbursement related to practice settings.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team; provides education to patients, families, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence‑based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues; adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals; aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
