Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide outpatient therapy at our Lakepointe Medical Center in Rowlett, TX. The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress for a daytime schedule.

The Physical Therapist will educate patients and families, discharge planning to maximize function, and collaborate with the rehab team. Texas licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience.
• Certification/License: Must hold Physical Therapist license in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patients as part of outpatient therapy.
• Plans and documents treatment goals and progress with timely clinical notes.
• Educates patients and families; plans discharges to maximize function.
• Supervises supportive staff and students when applicable.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory guidelines and reimbursement requirements.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

• Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.
