Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist (PT) to cover two facilities: Marble Falls Hospital and Lakeway Medical Center. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, planning and implementing care, and supporting discharge planning to maximize function.

Primary days are Tuesday to Thursday, with the expectation of one weekend per month. Acute care experience is preferred and there is an emphasis on collaboration with the healthcare team and ongoing

Qualifications

• Masters' or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patients; adapts therapy programs and goals.
• Performs thorough clinical documentation and enters charges accurately; understands reimbursement.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team; provides education.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

• Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.

• Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
