Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking an Outpatient Therapist in Washington to deliver individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and involve families in care. The role requires relevant licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) and a master's in social work or counseling, with certifications like BLS, ACLS/PALS as per policy.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions educating patients on psychological, emotional, or substance abuse issues.
• Active involvement in treatment planning process.
• Provide family session counseling to ensure communication with family and support groups.
• Communicate with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
• Communicate treatment progress to utilization review and nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physicians and other staff.
• Ensure proactive communication with team members about patient care.
• Report to UR on treatment and LOS issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems
• Displays active involvement in treatment planning process
• Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups
• Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources
• Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient's treatment
• Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members
• Demonstrates active communication with team members
• Effectively communicates to UR on treatment and LOS issues
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state LCSW, LPC, LMFT license or appropriate Associate Licensure andpossess. Additionalrequirements include:

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Basic Life Support certification isrequiredwithin30 daysof hire.
• ACLS and PALS arerequiredwithin six months of hire.

Hourlyrange: $33- $44.65per hour
