Job summary

Rainier Springs in Washington state is seeking an Inpatient Therapist (PRN) to support psychiatric and chemical dependency patients. You will lead individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and deliver family sessions to enhance communication and involvement of relatives and support networks.

The role requires a master's degree, an active state license, CPR and CPI within 30 days, and offers comprehensive benefits, PTO, tuition assistance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or counseling required.
  • Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients preferred.
  • Current unencumbered clinical license per state.
  • CPR certification and CPI within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for psychiatric, emotional, or substance use concerns.
  • Active involvement in the treatment planning process.
  • Provide family sessions to improve communication and engagement.
  • Communicate with clients, families and outside referral sources.
  • Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians and nursing staff.
  • Provide proactive updates to UR on treatment and LOS issues.

How you'll contribute
  • Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems
  • Displays active involvement in treatment planning process
  • Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups
  • Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources
  • Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient's treatment
  • Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members
  • Demonstrates active communication with team members
  • Effectively communicates to UR on treatment and LOS issues

What we’re looking for
  • Master's degree in social work or counseling

  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
Wage scale: $33.22 - $44.85 per hour
