Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support residents at Arbor Village in Kent and Solstice at Pointe Defiance in Tacoma, collaborating with the therapy team to promote functional independence.

You will work in a skilled nursing facility setting, treating geriatric patients, assisting with transfers, ADL retraining, and rehab progress, with opportunities for growth in a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State OTA license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with the geriatric population.
• One year SNF experience preferred; new clinicians with geriatrics interest encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Treat a diverse geriatric caseload including complex patients.
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers.
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice.
• Collaborate with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team.
