Job summary

Peachford Hospital in Dunwoody, a 246-bed psychiatric facility, seeks an experienced Master’s prepared Therapist for FT in Adult or Adolescent Outpatient Services within the Partial Hospitalization Program.

Responsibilities include providing psychotherapy groups, performing psychosocial assessments, and orienting new patients; collaborate with physicians and hospital staff, including weekend care teams. A master’s degree and licensure-track (LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related clinical area is preferred.
• At least 2 years outpatient or inpatient experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-informed Care preferred.

Outpatient Therapist - Partial Hospitalization Program

Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dunwoody. We provide care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Peachford has been providing compassionate care since 1973 and nearly 10,000 patients receive seek treatment here every year.

We are searching for an experienced, energetic Master's prepared Therapist to work FTin our Adult Outpatient Services Program or Adolescent Outpatient Services Program .

Outpatient Therapists, in Peachford's Partial Hospital Program, provide quality care to patients in our outpatient programs with primary focus on addiction and mental health issues. Crisis de-escalation skills and an ability to multi-task and manage priorities with a positive attitude are critical for this role.

What Will You Get To Do?

Outpatient Therapists are responsible for the following:

• Conducting psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups and lectures.
• Determining patient’s treatment needs and conducting psychosocial assessments.
• Conducting new patient orientation and assigning patients to appropriate groups.
• Maintaining a working relationship with physicians, hospital staff and leaders as well as managing staff providing care on the weekends.

What Does Peachford Require for this Role?

A master’s degree in a related clinical area as well as a LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT certification is preferred.

At least 2 years previous outpatient or inpatient experience along with a working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-informed Care is preferred.
