Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for providing center-based in-person or virtual therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. These therapy services may include: individual, group, or family therapy; mental health assessment; treatment planning and monitoring; resource and referral; support, linkage, and advocacy; case collaboration with other providers at Pioneer Center or other community organizations.
Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for providing center-based in-person or virtual therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. These therapy services may include: individual, group, or family therapy; mental health assessment; treatment planning and monitoring; resource and referral; support, linkage, and advocacy; case collaboration with other providers at Pioneer Center or other community organizations.
As a part of the Outpatient Services department of the Behavioral Health pillar, the Therapist will adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Pioneer Center and philosophy of the Behavioral Health pillar. This philosophy emphasizes Trauma-Informed Care, Evidence-Based Practices, Strength-Focused Treatment, and Client-Centered Services. To achieve these standards, the Therapist and all members of the Behavioral Health pillar must attend ongoing internal and external trainings and contribute to a culture of collaborative learning.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Provides center-based in-person or virtual therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families
Consistently spends 70% of time providing direct service to clients 70% (typically 28 of 40 hours per week)
Complete all documentation accurately and concurrently, which is defined by within 24 hours of service delivery
Learns and implements Trauma-Informed Care and Evidence-Based Practices
Uses strength-focused treatment planning to collaboratively create goals and objectives with clients
Completes IM+CANS (Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Needs and Strengths) with all clients minimally every 180 days
Monitors and documents progress toward goals
Travels to clients’ homes, schools, and other community locations to meet with clients
Makes referrals and advocates for families in need of diagnostic, substance abuse, psychiatric, and psychological assessments
Develops linkages in the community by networking with other service providers
Works with community services to meet needs of client (self-help groups, skills building groups, and advocates, etc.).
Facilitates or participates in case consultation or staffings with other service providers
Provides service in a professional manner and communicates with staff, clients, families, and other agencies involved with the client.
Completes required agency training.
Provides service according to policy and procedure (HIPAA, Confidentiality, Ethics, etc.).
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills & Abilities
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required. (Field of Study: Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology). Completion or current enrollment in a Master’s program - Required.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must be able to meet agency driver safety requirement of carrying personal vehicle insurance with the following limits:
