Job description

Make a Real Impact in Your Community!

Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome substance abuse and reclaim their lives? At Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI), we believe in second chances and providing the support people need to succeed. For over 60 years, we have pioneered community‑based services, transforming lives through innovative programs for people involved in the child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice systems.

Join our mission‑driven team as an MST Practitioner at our CSI Wichita Office in Wichita, KS. In this role you will provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to youth, their families, communities, and other key members. You will deliver intensive, home‑based therapy to adolescents and their families who are involved in the juvenile justice system or at risk of out‑of‑home placement. MST Practitioners may be required to drive up to a 90‑minute radius from the CSI Wichita Office. This is a community‑based position that requires travel to Sedgwick, Kingman, Harper, and Sumner.

What is Multisystemic Therapy (MST)?

Multisystemic Therapy typically targets chronic, violent, or substance‑abusing juvenile offenders ages 12 through 17. MST’s home‑based therapy design helps overcome barriers to service, increases family retention in treatment, allows therapists to manage a maximum of six cases, and enhances maintenance of successful behavioral change.

Why Work with Us?
  • Life‑Changing Work: Help individuals on parole rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
  • Trauma‑Informed Approach: CSI is committed to understanding and addressing trauma. You will receive ongoing training to support clients with care and compassion.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with the Program Director, MST Experts, and external stakeholders in a supportive, team‑oriented setting.
  • Growth Opportunities: Expand your expertise with training, certification, and professional development options in a growing organization.
What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify presenting problems, strengths, and systemic factors contributing to difficulties.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the principles of Multisystemic Therapy, incorporating relevant evidence‑based interventions and strategies.
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions to at‑risk youth and their families, and collaborate with other key members.
  • Implement crisis management strategies as needed to address immediate safety concerns for clients and their families.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision training to enhance clinical skills and ensure fidelity to the MST model.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including session notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and service providers involved in clients’ ecosystems, including social services, schools, court, and mental health agencies.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. A Bachelor’s Degree is considered with relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to client homes and possibly transporting multiple clients at once.
  • Must live within a 90‑minute travel time from the designated service area.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload while meeting program requirements and deadlines.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence and trauma‑informed practice.
Benefits We Offer
  • Generous Time Off: 2 weeks of vacation your first year (increasing to 3 weeks after 1 year), 7 days of sick time, and 4 floating holidays.
  • Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and voluntary vision plans, plus FSA, short‑term disability, accident insurance, hospital coverage, life insurance, and AD&D options.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Automatic enrollment with a 100% company match up to 4%.
  • Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement after 1 year, plus ongoing training and opportunities for certification.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursement for business‑related travel at the current IRS rate.

Annual Salary: $50,000‑55,000
