Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, has been providing quality healthcare to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Located in Denison, Texas, our main campus is approximately one hour north of Dallas/Fort Worth, with additional facilities throughout the Texoma region. We offer specialized services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, supported by advanced resources such as certified trauma care, establishing TMC as a regional specialty center.

Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, and provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Create and update treatment plans within assigned timelines.
• Oversee discharge planning and ensure appropriate utilization of department resources.
• Document all services, interventions, and outcomes timely and accurately.
• Respond to emergency codes as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related human services field from an accredited institution.
• Completion of relevant internship with experience in individual, group, or family therapy preferred.
• Current Texas licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPCA, or LPC) required; additional credentials like LCDC or LMFT are a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before clinical work and every 90 days thereafter.
• Training in Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation to be completed during orientation and annually.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapeutic services.
• Facilitate therapy sessions and family consultations per treatment plans and safety protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and provide case management.
• Coordinate discharge planning and communicate patient status effectively.
• Ensure timely documentation complying with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Engage in clinical supervision and team collaboration.
