Job summary

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center invites applications for an IOP/PHP Therapist. The role involves delivering individual, group and family therapy within our comprehensive behavioral health programs in Oakland Park, FL.

The therapist will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, identify crises and provide timely interventions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team and ensuring patient-centered care.

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center.

The IOP/PHP Therapist works with individuals to help them overcome psychological/emotional issues as well as substance abuse issues. The IOP/PHP Therapist will demonstrate the ability to perform group, individual and family therapy. They will also perform psychosocial assessment and formulate treatment plans based on individuals needs. The therapist will be able to recognize crisis situations and provide interventions. Ability to work collaboratively with peers, administrators, physicians, and allied staff is a must.
