Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services in Birmingham, AL, seeks an Alabama Licensed Therapist MA/MSW to provide social services and individual, family and group therapy on acute and residential units. The role requires current Alabama ALC/LPC license, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, and experience in inpatient or residential settings.

Qualifications

  • Must have Master’s degree in Counseling/Mental Health field.
  • Current Alabama ALC/LPC license required.
  • Ability to establish rapport with a multiple disciplinary team and assist patient toward recovery and sustained health.
  • Experience and credentials for areas served and specialized interventions (adventure-based counseling, play therapy, or sexual offender/victim) highly desired.
  • Experience on an in-patient psychiatric unit or residential program preferred.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development of the population served.
  • Therapist working with sexual behavior program must have certification.

  • Perform case management under direction of the Director of Social Services.
  • Attend orientation and integrate into the team.

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in a Counseling/Mental Health Related field.
  • Current license as an ALC or LPC in the State of Alabama is required.
