Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health seeks a Licensed Therapist to provide social services and individual, family and group therapy with case management on acute and residential units, under the Director of Social Services. Alabama license required; MA/MSW degree preferred.

Orientation is mandatory: eight business days, 8am–4pm without interruptions. Hill Crest offers comprehensive benefits and a strong UHS network supporting professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or mental health field.
• Current Alabama ALC or LPC license required.
• Experience on inpatient psychiatric unit or residential program preferred.
• Ability to establish rapport with a multidisciplinary team and support recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide social services and individual, family and group therapy and case management on acute and residential units under the Director of Social Services.
• Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement treatment.
• Attend orientation as required (8 business days, 8:00–16:00).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in a Counseling/Mental Health Related field.
• Current license as an ALC or LPC in the State of Alabama is required.
• Ability to establish rapport with a multiple disciplinary team and assist patient to work toward recovery and to sustain health.
• Experience and credentials for areas served and specialized interventions (adventure-based counseling, play therapy, or sexual offender/victim) highly desired.
• Experience on an in-patient psychiatric unit or residential program preferred
• Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development of the population served.
• Therapist working with sexual behavior program must have certification in sexual behavior.
