Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) seeks a Therapist In Training to join our Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) team. Under supervision, you will provide assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused services to individuals with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders across home, school, and community settings.

Applicants should have a master's degree in a behavioral health field and be eligible for Wisconsin in-training licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Practicum experience related to Family Therapy, DBT Informed, or TFCBT.
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not required.
• Eligible for Wisconsin in training licensure (APSW, LPC-IT, or MFT-IT).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy services.
• Deliver psychoeducation and skill-building services that support recovery and wellness.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.
• Deliver services using trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based practices.
