Job summary

Heartland Family Service in Omaha, NE, is seeking a professional to assume intense therapeutic responsibilities with a focus on trauma-informed care. The role requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, licensure preferences, and a valid driver’s license.

The position offers a standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with compensation discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related degree.
• LMHP or LMHC preferred; LADC or CADC in addition is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license/acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced clinical skills in diagnosis, intervention, formulation and implementation of treatment plan with client input.
• Maintains client clinical records with treatment plans, progress, and termination summaries.
• Active member of the ACT Team; adheres to attached job description for ACT Team responsibilities.
• Demonstrates courteous and caring attitude toward clients, volunteers, and visitors.
• Cooperates with program area staff, volunteers, and other agency staff.
• Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Adheres to program and agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
• Develops personal and program-related skills through ongoing training.
• Creates, maintains and shares a dynamic self-care plan.
• Engages with the community to support fundraising and friend-raising efforts.

Summary Description Of Work

Intense therapeutic responsibilities begin at this level. Educational requirements are very specific. Decision-making skills and problem-solving capabilities are critical. Highly developed interpersonal skills and case management capabilities must be present.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• While working with a caseload of the highest degree of difficulty, demonstrates advanced clinical skills in diagnosis, intervention, formulation and implementation of treatment plan with the client’s input.
• *Maintains client clinical record with treatment plan, client progress and termination summary.
• *As a member of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program is accountable for responsibilities, etc. described in attached job description for ACT Team Member.
• Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
• Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
• *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
• Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
• *Create, maintain and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
• * Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
• *Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site or designated workspace.
