Job summary

Legacy Behavioral Health in Valdosta, GA seeks a licensed therapist to join our outpatient team. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and provide individual, family, and group counseling to diverse populations.

This role requires a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, licensure eligibility, and strong communication and collaboration with referring physicians.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling with a supervised clinical practicum.
• Degree must be license eligible.
• Clinical license (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPC, LAPC) preferred.
• Experience in social services preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Job Description

Are you passionate about mental health and looking for a meaningful career where you can make a real impact? Legacy Behavioral Health is seeking an therapist to join our team in Lowndes County. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting individuals and families throughout South Georgia with compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services. Duties include completion of complex psychosocial assessments, treatment team participation, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Our therapists provide individual, family, and group counseling to consumers and their families. Must be familiar with all populations within the outpatient clinic including Child & Adolescent, Adult MH and Adult SA. Individuals in this position must be able to collaborate with community referral sources and physicians to ensure continuity of care.

The therapist will be supervised by the Director of Specialty Services.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling with a supervised clinical practicum

Degree must be license eligible

Clinical license (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPC, LAPC) and have experience working in the social services field; preferred

Someone who is dedicated to quality work

Working Conditions: Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations. May have extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Requires varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling, as well as travel to off campus locations in BHSGA or personal vehicle.
