Job summary

Beach House Center for Recovery is seeking a Licensed Primary Therapist for the Veterans & First Responders Program in Juno Beach, FL. The role requires working full-time on-site with veterans and first responders, delivering individual, family, and group therapy and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates are Florida-licensed mental health professionals with military experience who can address trauma, co-occurring disorders, and recovery needs through evidence-based

Qualifications

• Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with veterans and first responders.
• Understanding of military culture and veteran experiences.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorders.
• Ability to facilitate individual, family, and group therapy.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and crisis-intervention skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Military veteran strongly preferred.
• Candidates with direct military experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to veterans, first responders, and other assigned patients.
• Facilitate trauma-informed and recovery-focused therapeutic groups.
• Identify and address underlying clinical issues contributing to mental health and substance use concerns.
• Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessment.
• Complete ongoing clinical assessments and documentation in accordance with facility, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions appropriate for veterans and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and clinical support as indicated.
• Coordinate discharge and continuing-care planning with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, nursing, case management, behavioral health, and other clinical team members.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Participate in clinical meetings, treatment team meetings, supervision, and other required facility activities.
• Promote a therapeutic environment that recognizes military culture, service-related experiences, trauma, resilience, and recovery.
