Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in addiction and mental health
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments for newly admitted patients
• Assess and document risk of harm to self or others
• Develop treatment plans with patient-specific goals and timeframes
• Collaborate with treatment team to plan aftercare
• Conduct individual therapy sessions with patients
• Lead process groups on topics related to addiction, recovery and wellbeing
• Facilitate family sessions
• Develop and lead specialty groups
• Use de-escalation skills to ensure patient safety
• Maintain professional boundaries and patient dignity
• Complete progress notes for sessions and update treatment plans
• Document safety concerns and referrals
• Learn and follow company policies and required trainings
• Receive biweekly supervision
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
• Communicate respectfully with patients and colleagues
