La Clinica de Familia (LCDF) is an FQHC serving Southern New Mexico. This role provides assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapy for individuals, families, and groups with substance use issues as part of the ACT Team.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related behavioral health field and a current New Mexico license in counseling, social work, psychology, LSAA, or LADAC.

Qualifications

• Current NM license in counseling, social work, psychology, LSAA, or LADAC.
• Preference for integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders.
• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance; background check, TB screen, and drug testing.

Job Summary:

Performs assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups with substance abuse issues; provides community consultation and education and staff orientation and training; assists in team supervision and participates in the planning, development, and implementation of services as part of the ACT Team.

• Knowledge of various modes of psychotherapy and evidence-based practices, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, group, and familial approaches.
• Skill in assessment procedures, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, and case management practices including follow-up and closure.
• Ability to establish therapeutic alliance with patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public.
• Assesses and incorporates culture into assessment and treatment processes

Job Requirements:

• Will have at least a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a behavioral health related field.
• Current New Mexico license in the field of counseling, social work, psychology,Licensed Substance Abuse Associate Counselor (LSAA), or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC).
• Preference will be given to individuals with training or experience in integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders
• Must maintain a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance. Must submit to LCDF required background check, TB screen and drug testing.
