Job summary

Cornerstone is hiring a Team Therapist for the ACT program in Charlotte Hall, MD. You will provide individual and group therapy, support clients with case management tasks, and implement evidence-based interventions to reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work or related field, Maryland licensure (LMSW/LCSW-C/LGPC/LCPC), and prior mental health or addictions counseling experience. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Licensed in State of Maryland: LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.
• Experience providing mental health services or addictions counseling is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to reduce symptoms and prevent crises.
• Deliver general case management such as paperwork and scheduling appointments.
• Apply theory-based interventions to improve functioning and potential.
• Assist in emergency and crisis management on-site and in the community with risk assessments.

Our robust training program allows therapists to develop and grow in the position and provides the basis for upward mobility within the agency.Responsibilities of the Therapist* Provide services and supports, such as individual and group therapy, that lessen or eliminate the debilitating symptoms of mental illness and minimize or prevent acute episodes of the illness* Provide general case management services during meetings as required. For example: filling out paperwork, assisting in scheduling appointments and other general community support services* Implement theory-based interventions to assist clients in overcoming functional impairments and maximize their individual potential* Assists in managing emergency and crisis situations both on-site and in the community, through the use of risk screening and assessments and collaboration with other team members and community providers## Qualifications* Master’s degree in Social Work or related degree, licensure in State of Maryland (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC)* Experience providing mental health services and/or addictions counseling is required* Possession of a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (as determined by HR) required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes.
