Acenda Health is seeking a Therapist to deliver counseling and mental health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment within an integrated health setting in New Jersey.

The position requires a Bachelors/Masters in counseling or psychology, 1+ year of direct care, and a valid driver’s license. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available, with the Early Intervention Support Services - Gloucester (EISSG) program serving the area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling including relationship, premarital, separation, divorce, and child counseling services.
• Gather and analyze information via interviews, observations, and assessments.
• Identify problematic behavioral, communication, and relationship patterns.
• Monitor treatment plan adherence and progress with clients.
• Facilitate client linkages to treatment and community supports.
• Maintain an active caseload and complete documentation timely.
• Ensure accuracy of written and verbal communications.
• Draft and submit paperwork to insurance companies.
• Comply with ethical codes and standards.

Position Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• May provide counseling including relationship, premarital, separation, divorce, and child counseling services
• Gathers and analyzes information through a variety of methods that may include observation, interviews, self-report inventories, group discussions, and/or formal assessments
• Identifies problematic behavioral, communication, and relationship patterns
• Partner with clients to monitor adherence to their treatment plan, evaluate effectiveness, monitor progress in a timely manner, and facilitate changes as required
• Facilitate client linkages, referrals and access to appropriate treatment, community supports and medical or specialty providers according to the treatment plan
• Maintain an active caseload
• Develops and maintains accurate records, reports and chart documentation in a complete and timely manner according to program guidelines and established procedures
• Ensures quality and accuracy of written and verbal communications
• Support the Quality/Compliance/Risk function as required
• Drafts and submits necessary paperwork to insurance companies
• Maintains compliance with ethical codes and standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned

    • Establishes rapport, gathers clinical data, assesses readiness for treatment; and applies criteria for diagnosis

Education, Work Experience and/or Skills Requirements:

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology or similar degree (dependent on program)
• One or more years of experience providing direct care
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
• Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans, and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• The employee must occasionally move about to accomplish tasks, adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
• Ability to drive a vehicle
