Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Inpatient Therapist in Washington, PA. This position brings compassion, innovation, and expertise to individuals on their journey to recovery. We offer sun-thurs or tues-sat shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in behavioral health with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Background checks required: PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, FBI fingerprinting.
• Must pass Drug Screen, TB Test, CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy per patient needs.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.
• Coordinate referrals and continuing care for patients.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes and promotes trauma-informed treatment through the provision of evidence-based practices.
• Participates in developing the patient treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team.
• Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient needs.
• Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs.
• Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload.
• Plans for continuing care of patients and makes appropriate referrals.
• Monitors and completes insurance authorizations for patient caseload.
• Provides referrals for additional care or services when required
• Achieves and maintains expected productivity of 50% on an ongoing basis.
• Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seek additional supervision as needed.
• Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
• Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations.
• Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance documentation.
• Provides coverage for other programs as needed.
• Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other professionals.
• Understands the nature of addiction, including its psychological, physiological, and social aspects.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions.
• Ability to provide individual and/or group therapy to help patients understand their addiction and develop coping strategies.
• Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies.
• Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality to protect patients privacy.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree with 1 year experience in a behavioral health environment.

• Pass a PA Criminal Background Check
• Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances
• Pass Drug Screen
• TB Test
• Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
