Job summary

Woodland Recovery Center, part of Bradford Health Services, seeks a licensed Therapist to support individuals and families through mental health challenges. The role focuses on evidence-based interventions, assessment-based treatment planning, and facilitation of individual or group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience with diverse populations and teletherapy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Professional licensure as LPC/LCSW/LMFT or equivalent.
• Experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and ethics in mental health care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify client needs and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using counseling psychology and psychotherapy techniques.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health issues and promote healing.
• Provide crisis intervention and support clients experiencing acute distress or life transitions.
• Utilize anger management strategies and other therapeutic tools to help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging research in mental health counseling and therapy.

Woodland Recovery Center provides evidence-based, multi-level care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our mission is to support our patients as they achieve their recovery and wellness goals through our inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. We are seeking a Therapist to add to our dynamic team! Therapists play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote emotional well-being and resilience. You will work collaboratively with clients to assess their psychological needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate individual or group therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field
• Professional licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and ethical standards in mental health care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse client populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations including children, adults, and families
• Training or certification in specialized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Background in group therapy facilitation and family systems therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms
• Additional certifications in areas such as trauma-informed care or substance abuse counseling
